Sr Zita Klostermeier died 15 May 1940 at the Convent of Our Lady of the Rosary, Izeli, King William's Town
Theresia Klostermeier was born in Aindling Aichach Augsburg on 15 March 1868. She entered the Congregation as a Postulant in 1891 at St Ursula’s Convent in Augsburg and made her Profession on 4 August 1893 having arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town in 1891. In 1892 she was assigned to the Convent in Izeli where she cared for the boarders and did the laundry. She subsequently worked at the Convents in Potchefstroom and Belgravia, returning to Izeli where she remained until her death.
Sr Theodora Linder died 14 September 1940 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Ottilie Linder was born in Bissingen, Tapfheim, Donauworth, Bavaria on 15 December 1869. She entered the Congregation in 1897 at St Ursula’s Convent in Augsburg and made her Profession on 22 July 1899 having arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town on 22 October 1897. In 1899 she was assigned to the Convent in East London and in 1901 she returned to the Motherhouse where she taught at the Government Boys’ School. In 1903 she again went to East London, then to Graaff Reinet and Stutterheim.
Sr Alban Middlebrough died 26 October 1940 at Bl Imelda Convent, Brakpan
Mary Middlebrough was born in Liverpool, England on 4 June 1900. She entered the Congregation as a Postulant in 1920 at St Immaculata Convent in Schlehdorf and made her Profession on 3 November 1921 having arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town on 12 March 1920. In 1924 she was assigned to the Convent in Klerksdorp where she taught the senior grades. She taught also in Potchefstroom and Springs before being assigned to teach at the Convent school in Brakpan.
Sr Marietta Moeser died 14 November 1940 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Anna Moeser was born in Klein Auheim Hessen on 2 October 1913. She entered the Congregation as a Postulant in August 1932 at St Immaculata Convent in Schlehdorf and made her Profession on 5 January 1935 having arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town on 10 February 1935. Her short religious life was spent at the Motherhouse and the Convent in Graaff Reinet where, as a student teacher, she became ill and had to return to King William’s Town where she died shortly afterwards.

Sr Wendelina Engelhart died 6 March 1939 the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Maria Anna Engelhart was born in Glott bei Dillingen on 29 December 1864. She entered the Congregation in 1888 at St Ursula’s Convent in Augsburg and made her Profession on 16 June 1890 having arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town in October 1888. In 1896 she was assigned to the Convent in Klerksdorp and also worked in Potchefstroom, returning to Klerksdorp and then back to Potchefstroom. In 1918 – 1919 she worked at Maria Hilf Convent in Woodlands, nursing scarlet fever cases in October 1919. She worked at the Mater Infirmorum for three years and at the Convent in Graaff Reinet for six years before returning to the Mater Infirmorum between 1932 – 1935. From 1936 to 1938 she was Portress and Refectorian at Maris Stella Convent in East London.
Sr Macaria Kasek died 21 March 1939 at St Catherine's Nursing Home, Queenstown
Franziska Kasek was born in Sczepanowitz, Oppeln, Oberschlesien, Prussia on 3 March 1884. She entered the Congregation as a Candidate at St Immaculata Convent in Schlehdorf in 1911 and made her Profession on 5 October 1913. She arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town on 12 April 1912. At the Motherhouse she was responsible for the wardrobe and the boarders. She worked also at the Convent in Izeli and briefly in Klerksdorp.
Sr Sabina Pieronczyk died 9 August 1939 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Katharina Pieronczyk was born in Lohnia Post Rudzinitz Prussia on 18 October 1879. She entered the Congregation as a Candidate at St Immaculata Convent in Schlehdorf in 1909 and made her Profession on 12 July 1911. She arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town on 21 April 1909. In 1911 she was assigned to the Convent in Izeli where she remained, with two short spells at the Missions in Queenstown, until, with failing health, she moved to the Mater Infirmorum.
Sr Clement Lynch died 28 September 1939 at the Far East Rand Hospital, Springs
Annie Lynch was born in Graaff Reinet, South Africa on 6 September 1871. She entered the Congregation as a Postulant at Sacred Heart Convent in East London in June 1890 and made her Profession on 16 January 1892. Annie Lynch attended the Convent of the Sacred Heart Motherhouse before entering the Congregation. She taught at a number of the Convent schools including those in East London, Graaff Reinet (a founder member) and Brakpan, where she was Sub-Prioress of the Community and Principal of the school.
Sr Friederica Ostler died 5 December 1939 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Katharina Ostler was born in Garnisch Oberbayern Freising Bavaria on 12 August 1880. She entered the Congregation as a Candidate at St Immaculata Convent in Schlehdorf in 1904 and made her Profession on 18 August 1907. She arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town in 1906 and was appointed to the Convent in Izeli, where she worked in the fields and cared for the sheep. She then worked at Maria Hilf Convent in Woodlands, the Mater Infirmorum in the house, kitchen and garden and in Cradock.

Sr Remigia Koester died 3 January 1938 at St Immaculata Convent, Schlehdorf
Therese Koester was born in Helminghausen Westfalen on 5 May 1911. She entered the Congregation as a Postulant at St Immaculata Convent in Schlehdorf in January 1935 and made her Profession on 28 June 1937. She remained in Schlehdorf for the short four years of her Religious life.
Sr Cassiana Rohrmeir died 30 June 1938 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Walburga Rohrmeir was born in Anwalding, Affing bei Augsburg, Bavaria on 2 March 1873. She was received into the Congregation at the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Motherhouse in King William’s Town on 23 April 1890, having come to South Africa probably earlier that year. She made her Profession on 25 June 1891. A Mission Sister she was assigned as the first teacher at the Convent in Izeli on its foundation. She taught for a while at the Convent in East London before returning to Izeli where she spent twenty six years before being assigned to the Mission in Keilands as Superior. In 1930 she was sent as superior to the Woodlands Mission and in 1934 to St Benno’s Mission Indwe. The last few months of her life were spent translating sermons into the Xhosa language, until she could no longer hold her pen.
Sr Elizabeth Oswald died 12 September 1938 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Franziska Oswald was born in Gutmaning bei Cham Oberpfalz Bavaria on 5 June 1866. She joined the Congregation at St Ursula’s Convent in Augsburg in 1892 and arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town on 13 December of that year. She made her Profession on 26 February 1895. A Lay Sister, she worked at the Convents in King William’s Town, Graaff Reinet, Potchefstroom and East London before her health failed and from 1907 she was an invalid at the Mater Infirmorum Convent.
Sr St James Bildstein died 27 October 1938 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Sophie Bildstein was born in Grunenbach, Harbatshofen, Allgau, on 27 December 1885. She entered the Congregation as a Candidate at St Immaculata Convent in Schlehdorf in 1904 and made her Profession on 18 August 1907. She arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town on 10 March 1906. She taught music at a number of the Convent schools, including those in Fort Beaufort, Queenstown, Klerksdorp, St Francis Xavier, East London (as Superior), Vleeschfontein (as Superior), Belgravia )as Prioress) and Stutterheim.
Sr Benigna Osterberger died 1 November 1938 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Maria Osterberger was born in Rothenbach, Lindau, Bavaria on 7 September 1863. She joined the Congregation at St Ursula’s Convent in Augsburg in 1889 and made her Profession on 25 March 1892. Shortly after her arrival at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town in 1899 she was sent to nurse at the newly opened Cottage Hospital in Klerksdorp; though this lasted only a few months as the hospital was closed. She worked in Potchefstroom for four years before returning to the Easter Cape where she was assigned to Holy Family Mission in Keilands, as Superior. She subsequently worked at the Missions in Izeli and Woodlands, enduring many hardships on the rounds of mercy in the Locations.
Sr Carolina Staiger died 4 November 1938 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Maria Staiger was born in Schramberg, Oberndorf, Wurttemberg on 23 February 1868. She joined the Congregation at St Ursula’s Convent in Augsburg in 1898 and came to the Motherhouse in King Williams’s Town on 1 November of that year. She made her Profession on 18 August 1900. In 1904 she was assigned to the Convent in Izeli and subsequently worked in the Convents in Cradock, Graaff Reinet and Queenstown. In 1921 she was assigned to the Mater Infirmorum Convent where, for the next seventeen years she was curatrix of the Convent Graveyard.
Sr Gerarda Riederer died 20 December 1938 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Maria Riederer was born in Hagenham bei Garham Post Vilshofen Bavaria on 9 February 1861. She joined the Congregation at St Ursula’s Convent in Augsburg in 1893 and came to the Motherhouse in King Williams’s Town on 15 November of that year. She made her Profession on 9 July 1895. Sister worked in the gardens, fields and stables of the Convent in Izeli until 1929 when she was assigned to Maria Hilf Mission Convent in Woodlands where she continued to work in the garden.
1937
Sr Bernarda Krammer died 13 January 1937 at St Immaculata Convent, Schlehdorf
Victoria Krammer was born in Weichering, Neuburg, Bavaria on 20 October 1885. She entered the Congregation at St Immaculata Convent in Schlehdorf in 1904 and made her Profession on 8 October 1908. She remained working at the Convent in Schlehdorf until 1933 when she was assigned to the newly established Convent in Hinckley, Leicestershire, England. Here, after four years, she became ill and had to return to Schlehdorf where she died soon after.
Sr Aidan Kilbride died 9 February 1937 at St Albert's Convent, Hinckley, Leicestershire, Englan
Annie Kilbride was born in Ballymeece, Tallaght, Dublin, Ireland on 25 July 1874. In 1898 she arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town from Dublin to enter the Congregation making her Profession on 22 July 1899. After teaching for a few years at Maris Stella Convent in East London she was assigned, in 1905, to teach at the newly established Convent in Schlehdorf. In 1921 she returned to South Africa where she was assigned as Prioress to the Convent in Cradock and subsequently to Belgravia. In 1933 she was sent to Hinckley to found St Albert’s Convent there.
Sr Benedict O'Connor died 14 March 1937 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Theresa O’Connor was born in King William’s Town, SA on 18 May 1871. She entered the Congregation at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town in 1894 and made her Profession on 9 July 1895. Theresa had been educated at the Convents, first in King William’s Town and then in Potchefstroom. Following two years at Sacred Heart Convent, East London she taught at the Motherhouse and subsequently at Maris Stella, East London, Cradock, Fort Beaufort and Queenstown before returning to teach Std IV and V at the Motherhouse.
Sr Bernadette Enderle died 18 April 1937 at St Benedict's Mission, Noodshulp, N. Transvaal
Kreszentia Enderle was born in Nordheim, Nonauworth, Bavaria on 10 February 1880. She entered the Congregation as a Postulant at St Immaculata Convent in Schlehdorf in 1909 and came to the Motherhouse in King Williams’s Town on 21 April of that year. She made her Profession on 1 November 1910. In 1912 she was assigned to the Convent in Klerksdorp where she taught Kindergarten classes and needlework. She then taught at the Missions in Potchefstroom and Vleeschfontein.
Mother Jacoba Zirn, Foundress, died 2 September 1937 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town aged 80
Maria Zirn was born in Bubsheim O/A, Spaichingen, Wurttemberg on 2 February 1857. She came from St Ursula’s Convent, Augsburg to King Williams’s Town in 1877 where, together with her six companion Sisters they founded the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Motherhouse. She made her Profession on 10 January 1879. In 1891 – 1892 she went to Macloutsie, Bechuanaland and in 1894 she went to Bulawayo, Rhodesia where she nursed at the Matibi Mission Hospital for a few years before returning to the Motherhouse. From 1899 to 1904 she was Prioress General of the Congregation. In 1905 she went to the newly-founded St Immaculata Convent in Schlehdorf, returning to South Africa in 1914.
Sr Calasanz Heckmann died 7 October 1937 at the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Queenstown
Anna Heckmann was born in Oberkessach, Kunzelsau, Rottenburg, Wurttemberg on 3 October 1885. She entered the Congregation at St Immaculata Convent, Schlehdorf in 1907 and made her Profession on 11 November 1911. She arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town in May 1910 and began teaching while still at the Motherhouse. She taught also at the Convent schools in Klerksdorp and Queenstown where she met with an accident and died the following year.
Sr Elvira Redler died 7 October 1937 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Maria Redler was born in Weilheim, Bavaria on 12 June 1890. She entered the Congregation as a Candidate at St Immaculata Convent, Schlehdorf in 1911 came to the Motherhouse in King Williams’s Town on 19 March 1913. She made her Profession on 5 October 1914. In 1917 she was assigned to the Convent in Fort Beaufort where she taught music. She later taught at the Convent schools in Queenstown, Belgravia, Stutterheim and Nigel.
Sr Bartholomea Krepold died 16 November 1937 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Amalie Krepold was born in Schonleiten bei Aichach Bavaria on 23 March 1869. She joined the Congregation at St Ursula’s Convent, Augsburg in 1889 to come to the Motherhouse in King Williams’s Town on 19 September of the same year. She made her Profession on 25 June 1891. In 1894 she was assigned to the Holy Family Mission in Keilands and subsequently worked at the Convents in Izeli, East London, Cradock, Potchefstroom, Belgravia and Queenstown.
Sr Lucina Waas died 15 December 1937 at St Maurus Mission, M'Phahlele, N. Transvaal
Adelheid Waas was born in Germany on 24 November 1903. She entered the Congregation as a Postulant at St Immaculata Convent, Schlehdorf in 1925 and made her Profession on 27 October 1926. She arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town on 28 January 1927 and began teaching at the Mission in Potchefstroom soon after. While teaching at St Maurus Mission in the Northern Transvaal she became ill and died soon after.

Sr Hildeberta Wittmann died 8 January 1936 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Maria Wittmann was born in Engelsberg, Lauterhofen, Bavaria on 26 March 1884. She joined the Congregation as a Candidate at St Immaculata Convent, Schlehdorf in 1904 and made her Profession on 18 August 1907. She arrived at the Motherhouse in King Williams’s Town on 10 March 1906 and was assigned to the Convent in East London in 1908. Trained as a teacher, Sr Hildeberta taught at the Convent schools in Cradock, Belgravia and East London.
Sr Sybillina Perschl died 21 February 1936 at the Convent of Our Lady of the Rosary, Izeli, King William's Town
Maria Perschl was born in Palling bei Traunstein Bavaria on 2 July 1856. She joined the Congregation at St Ursula’s Convent, Augsburg in 1895 to come to the Motherhouse in King Williams’s Town in the same year. She made her Profession on 16 July 1897 and was assigned to work at the Convent in Izeli. She worked in the house and the fields of the Convents in East London, briefly and Graaff Reinet for six years. The remainder of her life, thirty two years was spent in Izeli, where she worked in the house and in the fields, took care of the livestock and the graveyard.
Sr Honoria Kenna died 6 April 1936 at Maris Stella Convent, East London
Jane Kenna was born in Kilkenny, Ireland on 5 February 1866. She came to South Africa in 1893 where she entered the Congregation at the Convent of the Sacred Heart Motherhouse, King William’s Town in November 1893. She made her Profession on 9 July 1895. She taught at the Convent schools in Queenstown, King William’s Town and Cradock before being sent to St Immaculata Convent, Schlehdorf in 1920 to teach English. On her return to South Africa in 1923 she taught in Potchefstroom, Fort Beaufort, Queenstown and East London.
Sr Donata Wiesmueller died 20 April 1936 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Rosalia Wiesmueller was born in Aulzhausen Friedberg Bavaria on 12 June 1883. She entered the Congregation at St Immaculata Convent, Schlehdorf in April 1911 and made her Profession on 21 November 1912. She arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town in 1911 and in 1915 was assigned to the Convent in Izeli. In 1920 she returned to the Motherhouse where she continued with house duties and dairy. In 1930 she was assigned to work in the stables at the Mather Infirmorum Convent.
Sr Immaculata Musch died 12 May 1936 at St Immaculata Convent, Schlehdorf
Caecilia Musch was born in Unterbinnwang, Allgau on 13 February 1912. She entered the Congregation as a Postulant at St Immaculata Convent, Schlehdorf in 1935 and made her Profession on 18 April 1936 on her deathbed.
Sr Stanislaus Bertele died 15 May 1936 at the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Ermelo
Walburga Bertele was born in Mindelheim, Bavaria on 20 March 1880. She joined the Congregation at St Ursula’s Convent, Augsburg in 1903 to come to the Motherhouse in King Williams’s Town on 19 September of the same year. She made her Profession on 23 July 1905. In 1906 she was assigned to teach at the Convent in East London and subsequently in the Convent schools in Izeli, Belgravia, Potchefstroom, Fort Beaufort, Graaff Reinet and Ermelo.

Sr Philippa Oberlaender died 2 January 1935 at St Benno's Mission, Indwe, Queenstown
Maria Oberlaender was born in Eichstatt, Mittelfranken, Bavaria on 16 January 1872. She joined the Congregation at St Ursula’s Convent, Augsburg in 1893 to come to the Motherhouse in King Williams’s Town in the same year. She made her Profession on 19 April 1896. In 1893 she was assigned to teach at the Government schools in Izeli and in 1895 in King William’s Town. She subsequently taught in the Convent schools in East London and Graaff Reinet. From 1913 to 1919 she taught once again in King William’s Town at the Girls’ Government school. From 1929 she taught at the Mission schools in Queenstown.
Sr Baptist Mueller died 8 March 1935 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Teresa Mueller was born in Mechenhard, Bavaria on 20 March 1880. She joined the Congregation at St Ursula’s Convent, Augsburg in 1893 to come to the Motherhouse in King Williams’s Town in the same year. She made her Profession on 7 September 1895 and was assigned to teach at the Convent school in East London. She subsequently taught at the Convent schools in Potchefstroom, Fort Beaufort, Cradock and King William’s Town.
Sr Corona Tempelmeier died 14 April 1935 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Walburga Bertele was born in Mindelheim, Bavaria on 20 March 1880. She joined the Congregation at St Ursula’s Convent, Augsburg in 1888 to come to the Motherhouse in King Williams’s Town in September 1889. She made her Profession on 25 June 1891. She learnt shoemaking in Ingolstad before entering the Convent and worked in this field at the Convents in King William’s Town, both at the Motherhouse and at the Mater Infirmorum, where she was an invalid for several years before recovering her health.
Sr Bernardine Penn died 20 June 1935 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Lydia Penn was born in Cape Town, South Africa on 13 January 1866 and joined the Congregation at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town in 1887. She made her Profession on 24 January 1890. Assigned in 1890, to the Convent in Potchefstroom she taught music at the school. She subsequently taught at the Convent schools in King William’s Town, East London, Graaff Reinet and Cradock.
Sr Patricia Langenbach died 19 September 1935 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Emma Franziska Langenbach was born in Pfullendorf, Freiburg, Baden on 2 January 1886. She entered the Congregation at St Immaculata Convent, Schlehdorf in 1912 and arrived at the Motherhouse in King Williams’s Town on 12 April of the same year. She made her Profession on 15 October 1913. She taught mostly small children in the Transvaal as well as in Cradock and King William’s Town, where she taught at the Coloured school.
Sr Fidelis Auernhammer died 20 December 1935 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Mathilde Auernhammer was born in Ehingen, Schwabmunchen, Schwaben, Bavaria on 11 March 1874 and joined the Congregation at St Ursula’s Convent, Augsburg in 1895. She arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town on 11 November 1895 made her Profession on 16 July 1897. She was Sacristan and taught small children in the Convents in East London, Fort Beaufort and King William’s Town.

Sr Roswitha Reissner died 22 January 1934 at the Frere Hospital, East London
Mathilde Auernhammer was born in Grafling by Deggendorf, Bavaria on 1 October 1900 and entered the Congregation as a Postulant at St Immaculata Convent, Schlehdorf in November 1927. She arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town on 26 August 1929 made her Profession on 27 June 1929. At the Motherhouse she was assistant sacristan as well as “flitting cheerfully in and out among the stalls with her broom and duster”. At the Mission of Peter Claver in Duncan Village she contracted typhoid fever.
Sr Andrea Adams died 6 April 1934 at the Convent of Our Lady of the Rosary, Izeli, King William's Town
Anna Maria Adams was born in Franken, Niederbreising, Prussia on 9 November 1867 and joined the Congregation at St Ursula’s Convent, Augsburg in 1895. She arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town on 6 August 1894 made her Profession on 16 July 1897. Sr Andrea worked in the Convent in Izeli, King William’s Town, East London and Grahamstown.
Sr Raymond Whyte died 6 May 1934 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town

ohanna (Jane Frances) Whyte was born in Limmerick, Ireland on 27 November 1869. She came to South Africa with her parents at the age of five and entered the Congregation at the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Motherhouse, King William’s Town in 1883 and made her Profession on 15 January 1885. Sr Raymond taught at the Convent schools in King William’s Town, East London, Graaff Reinet and Cradock. She was Principal at the school in King William’s Town for a number of years and taught literature and history. She wrote a great deal of
poetry for many occasions.
1933
Sr Christina Steinle died 11 July 1933 at the Convent of Our Lady of the Rosary, Izeli, King William's Town
Mathilda Steinle was born in Rommelsried bei Augsburg Bavaria on 18 August 1876. She entered the Congregation as a Postulant at St Immaculata Convent Schlehdorf in 1904 and made her Profession on 8 August 1906. She arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town on 7 December 1904 and in 1906 was assigned to the Convent in Izeli where she worked in the House for several years until her move to the Mater Infirmorum and then to Graaff Reinet, Fort Beaufort before returning to Izeli.
Sr Ancilla Meyer died 15 July 1933 at the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Cradock
Anna Meyer was born in Buchl, Oberbayern on 24 January 1896. She entered the Congregation as a Candidate at St Immaculata Convent Schlehdorf in 1911 at the age of 15. She was prevented from going immediately to the South African mission due to World War I but was able to travel in 1921, arriving at the Motherhouse in February of that year. She made her Profession on 2 April 1922. Despite her frail health she was an excellent music teacher, teaching Convent school pupils at the Convents in Witbank, Ermelo and Cradock. Towards the end of her retreat she died, having received the Sacraments of the Church.
Sr Generosa Heinzle died 6 November 1933 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Anna Heinzle was born in Goetzis Vorarlberg Austria on 18 August 1927. She entered the Congregation as a Postulant at St Immaculata Convent Schlehdorf in 1904 and made her Profession on 27 June 1929. She arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town on 26 August 1929 and was assigned to the Convent in Queenstown and worked briefly at the Convent in Stutterheim before her early death.
Sr Cyrpian Stoeckl died 7 November 1933 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Corona Stoeckl was born in Penzberg, Augsburg, Bavaria on 20 July 1879. She entered the Congregation as a Candidate at St Immaculata Convent Schlehdorf in 1905 and made her Profession on 17 August 1908. She arrived at the Motherhouse in South Africa on 24 April 1907 and, in 1909 was assigned to work at the Convent in Izeli. She then worked at the Convents in Cradock, Grahamstown, East London, King William’s Town (as Vestarian), Belgravia and Klerksdorp.
Sr Alonsa Vanino died 16 November 1933 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Johanna Vanino was born in Bruck, Regensburg, Bavaria on 14 July 1883. She entered the Congregation as a Candidate at St Immaculata Convent Schlehdorf in February 1905 and made her Profession on 18 August 1907. She arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town on 10 March 1906 and in 1908 was assigned to the Convent in Fort Beaufort, where she taught music. She subsequently taught at the Convent schools in Potchefstroom, Belgravia and Queenstown.
Sr Dominica Vogel died 21 December 1933 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Agatha Vogel was born in Thal bei Illertissen Bavaria on 3 February 1849. She joined the Congregation at St Ursula’s Convent Augsburg in 1878 and arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town in February 1879. She made her Profession on 11 August 1880. A Lay Sister, she worked in the Convents in East London, Potchefstroom, Klerksdorp, King William’s Town, Graaff Reinet and at the Mater Infirmorum.
Sr Margareta Dworzak died 28 December 1933 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Rosa Dworzak was born in Olmutz, Mahren, Austria on 10 April 1879. She entered the Congregation as a Candidate at St Immaculata Convent Schlehdorf in 1911 and made her Profession on 21 November 1912. She arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town on 4 April 1911 and in 1913 was assigned to teach at the Convent school in Potchefstroom. She subsequently taught Kindergarten classes and needlework at the schools in East London, Queenstown and Graaff Reinet.

Sr Cecilia Engerer died 24 January 1932 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Maria Engerer was born in Hoppingen, Kr Schwaben, Bavaria on 22 December 1859. She joined the Congregation at St Ursula’s Convent Augsburg in 1888 and arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town in the same year. She made her Profession on 16 June 1890. A music teacher, she taught first at the Motherhouse before being assigned to the Convent in Potchefstroom. She returned to the Motherhouse in 1899 and remained there, teaching until 1928 when she taught for two years in East London, before being sent to the Mater Infirmorum in 1930 following a stroke.
Sr Loyola Steinberger died 29 February 1932 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Kreszenzia Steinberger was born in Ilmmunster, Munchen, Bavaria on 13 May 1881. She entered the Congregation as a Postulant at St Immaculata Convent Schlehdorf in 1906 and made her Profession on 17 October 1908. She arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town on 24 April 1907 and in 1908 was assigned to the Convent in Queenstown, where she taught music. She also taught at the Convent schools in Belgravia, Klerksdorp, Graaff Reinet, East London, Klerksdorp and Cradock.
Mother Eleonora Petitpierre, Foundress died 11 July 1932 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town aged 81
Maria Petitpierre was born in Augsburg, Bavaria on 17 August 1851. A qualified teacher she entered the Congregation as a Postulant at St Ursula’s Convent Augsburg in 1870 and made her Profession on 21 August 1872. She arrived in King William’s Town with her Sister companions on 22 October 1877 to found the new missionary Congregation in the newly-built Convent of the Sacred Heart. She launched higher education at the school and in 1894 had the first Matriculation class. In 1899 she went to Potchefstroom as Superior of the newly-founded Convent there. In 1906 she returned to the Eastern Cape as Superior in East London. In 1911 she was back at the Motherhouse.
Sr Theobalda Ferkl died 20 November 1932 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Rosina Ferkl was born in Wierbertshofen bei Berching Oberpfalz Bavaria on 20 December 1893. She entered the Congregation as a Postulant at St Immaculata Convent Schlehdorf in 1920 and made her Profession on 5 November 1922. She arrived at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town on 29 April 1921 and in 1924 she was assigned to the Convent in Klerksdorp where she worked in the house and tended the gardens. Her health failing, she was transferred to the Mater Infirmorum in 1929.
Sr Dympna Doyle died 4 December 1932 at Maris Stella Convent, East London
Theresa Doyle was born in Gorey, Co Wexford, Ireland on 25 January 1864. She entered the Congregation as a Postulant at the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Motherhouse in King William’s Town in August 1880 and made her Profession on 25 January 1882. She taught at the Convent schools in East London, Potchefstroom, King William’s Town, Fort Beaufort and Klerksdorp being Superior a number of times.

Sr Immaculata Westermeier died 14 May 1931 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Franziska Westermeier was born in Tachting bei Trostberg and der Alz Oberbayern on 9 March 1869. She joined the Congregation at St Ursula’s Convent, Augsburg in August 1891 and came to the Motherhouse in King William’s Town on 22 September of that year. She made her Profession on 6 March 1893. In 1894 she was assigned to the Convent in Izeli where she did general work in the house and in the fields. She subsequently worked at the Convents in Potchefstroom, Klerksdorp and the Mater Infirmorum.
Sr Aquina Mohr died 11 July 1931 at St Immaculata Convent, Schlehdorf
Agatha Mohr was born in Lotterfeld East Prussia on 18 August 1898. She entered the Congregation as a Postulant at St Immaculata Convent, Schlehdorf in May 1922 and made her Profession on 30 July 1925. In the few short years of her life she assisted in the Domestic school, teaching dressmaking and needlework.
Sr Juliana Jochum died 30 August 1931 at the Mater Infirmorum Convent, King William's Town
Walburga Jochum was born in Horgau bei Zusmarshausen Bavaria on 22 August 1866. She joined the Congregation at St Ursula’s Convent, Augsburg in 1889 to arrive at the Motherhouse in King William’s Town on 19 September of the same year. She made her Profession on 25 June 1891 and was assigned to the Convent in Izeli in the same year. She subsequently worked at the Convents in East London, Potchefstroom and King William’s Town.
